Allied Paper in 2007So what is left in 2007? The only two Allied Paper buildings left standing in Kalamazoo are the 1974-built headquarters building on Portage Road, now a healthcare facility, and the Bryant Mill powerhouse. The latter was not demolished with the rest of the mill because the public money ran out. In August 2007, nobody knows how long it will continue to stand as a sentinel to remind people that Kalamazoo was once known as "Paper City".
